Unauthorized Additional Accounts

Unauthorized additional accounts are a violation of the code of conduct. Open Foresight Hub's Code of Conduct outlines acceptable behavior by, and between, users on Open Foresight Hub. The code of conduct applies to everyone who interacts and contributes to online and offline Open Foresight Hub projects and spaces.

Each editor on Open Foresight Hub should have only one account that represents them as an individual. Unauthorized additional accounts will be blocked.

• Do not create an additional account in order to change your username. If you would like to change your username for any reason, contact an administrator.
• Do not create an additional account for anonymity.
• Do not create additional accounts to represent your company, team, club, group, or event.
• Do not create additional accounts to be shared between more than one person.

Do not create new accounts to evade a block or a ban. Unauthorized additional accounts for the purpose of hiding one's identity, or sockpuppets, are not permitted on Open Foresight Hub. Additional accounts created to evade bans will be blocked and may result in a ban or a block on the primary account.

There are legitimate reasons for creating new accounts when you already have one - for example, if you have strong reasons to want to be dissociated from your past. This does not mean that accounts can be created for the sole purpose of starting fresh. Additionally, some administrators have additional accounts for site testing purposes. If you feel like you need an additional account for a reason that is not listed above, contact administrators to discuss the issue.
