Transportation systems are become more automated and integrated, particularly on the commercial side. Shipping is being asked to deliver more and more frequently and is using technology to meet the challenge. Progress is more spotty at the personal level, as electrification of vehicles and the move to ridesharing have been slow. In many jurisdictions high speed trains are increasingly, but progress is spotty here as well.
