Harassment

Harassment violates Open Foresight Hub's code of conduct. Open Foresight Hub's Code of Conduct outlines acceptable behavior by, and between, users on Open Foresight Hub. The code of conduct applies to everyone who interacts and contributes to online and offline Open Foresight Hub projects and spaces. We believe in creating a space in which as many people as possible can actively and safely engage in the Open Foresight Hub.

Any repeated, offensive behavior that intentionally singles out and targets specific individuals, aiming to make them feel threatened, intimidated or discouraged from participating will not be tolerated.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Engaging in threatening behavior, stalking, spamming, vandalism, or harassment.
  • Transmitting chain mail, junk mail, or spam to other users.
  • Posting or modifying content with the intention of causing significant harm to others.
  • Sharing links to websites that violate regulations or pose a threat.

Open Foresight Hub strictly prohibits the misuse of its platform for harassment purposes, and any harassing edits will be removed or deleted accordingly. Actions of targeting or intimidation, even without direct communication, can be considered forms of harassment. Harassment is in violation of Open Foresight Hub's Open Foresight Hub Terms of Use. ITherefore, individuals engaging in harassment will face consequences such as blocking or banning.

Harassment in editors notes or as part of edit wars is grounds for a severe ban or a block. While active, vibrant discussion is necessary and encouraged, harassing other users in editor’s notes is a violation of the Code of Conduct and can result in a block depending on severity. Violent threats and comments which create an unsafe environment may lead to a block without a warning, and depending on the severity of the threat the block can be indefinite.
