Methods
Business leaders from 3800 mid-size to large enterprises across 17 countries were interviewed to gauge their predictions and preparedness for the future. The research explores the changing relationship between technology and people, emerging technology's impact on business, the way we work, and how business leaders plan to succeed over the next 10-15 years.
Key Insights
Business leaders disagree on what emerging technologies will mean for them, their business, and the world at large. Most of the forecasts, which were posed as 'agree or disagree' statements, are within a close margin. For example, “automated systems will free-up our time” was split 50-50. They are struggling to keep up with the pace of change and face barriers to becoming successful digital businesses in 2030 and beyond. Despite these barriers, business leaders agree that digital transformation is needed.
